This is not a mighty oak yet.
But apparently it has ambitions.

it's a trend
More head hiding is going on at work.
I assure you there really is a whole cat under that pillow, not just a pair of feet. I was told, by people who saw them moved into the suite, that another cat was under the bed, but I saw no evidence. If you could see the litter box (just out of frame to the right) you'd see that it was without a pawprint.
There is a whole chihuahua under that striped bed. He's not as lucky as the cat; his bed isn't floppy enough to cover him entirely.
And this fellow isn't really hiding. His face is behind the bed...
(not in the bed)
...because his sister won't let him use it. We put three beds in their room, and she chased him out of all of them.
She rules. You can see that at once.

Make the world go away
Yesterday at work, this dog was pretending her two bouncy companions weren't really there.
It was a trend among the cats, too.

By the time I got home, I was ready to join them.

damaged double daffodils
The combination of snow and then hail did not leave the double daffodils looking their best.
They still manage to show signs of spring amidst the frostbite, though.

Friday tornadoes, Monday snow
It must be March.
Friday afternoon last week I was at work as the tornadoes that killed quite a number of people in Indiana and Kentucky passed by us. We were prepared to shelter in a windowless room, but it proved unnecessary.
Monday morning I woke to this.
The prediction had been for "one to three inches" and I had one inch in some places and three inches in others. Good call.
It was a very heavy wet snow (the cedars are usually upright):
And on my way home that afternoon I saw five very large snowmen, and one that I think was supposed to be a baby. It was sitting down in a very toddler-esque posture, anyway. Two of the snowmen were on the grounds of a Masonic Lodge, so I think they were made by grown-ups.
It is fairly obvious which car is going to work and which one is staying home.
Two days this week were shirt-sleeve weather in the afternoon. What more has March in store for us?
