resting up for tomorrow

Tomorrow another round of moving furniture with my helpful hunters. With luck, that will bring it down to things I can fit in the Jeep and that I don't need someone to carry the other end of. I'll still be a long way from finished. But I'll have My Own Bed back! Sleeping on a not-firm mattress on the floor takes it out of me at fifty-five.

  1. It sounds like it's been a long haul..... *chortle*..... but it will be done soon!

It will be nice for you to be finished and get everything put away, though.

  2. It will be so restful to have everything in one place and be able to find things. (Maybe even the camera!)

  3. Bit by bit...

Hope that pretty soon you're all settled in and can enjoy your wonderful new place. But in the meantime it must feel like an endless process!

  4. The bed was utterly wonderful. I might survive after all. And the solar is working, too. (No official record keeping until everything is unpacked, or I get ready to start, which ever comes first.) Today was sunny with highs in the low forties, and now, two hours after sunset the temperatures in all the zones are still several degrees above what the thermostats are set for. Go, sun!

  5. This is awesome about the solar heat. Maybe we will see you on HGTV or the Green network someday!

  6. Kentucky doesn't get enough sun in the winter for more than an assist to the heat, but last night (after a warm day, but a swiftly dropping temperature after dark) the rooms were all still above the thermostat settings several hours after sunset. I had found myself wearing just a t shirt in the afternoon--no undershirt or long sleeves, certainly no sweat shirt. Warm! we loves it!
