I don't know how I missed these last year. In the patch of daffodils near the old house foundations is a smaller patch of double daffodils.

Those are SO pretty! I love daffodils and tulips - all the spring flowers - because they are so cheerful-looking. (or perhaps it's because just about anything with a little colour looks cheerful after a long, dark winter!)

ReplyDeleteI love how many of the early spring flowers are yellow: daffodils, forsythia, dandelions, and some of the crocuses. There aren't many yellow midsummer flowers, and then at the end of the season we get goldenrod, chrysanthemums, and black-eyed Susans.
ReplyDeleteDaryl, I was so pleased when that phrase popped into my head as I stared at the daffodils. Sometimes my Muse is really on the job.
Spring colours indeed! The mother dear got me some flowers for Easter- pink and yellow tulips. Love having them in my living room to brighten the place up.
