Again with the deja vu

Last time there was snow.

Again, it completely missed the cars, and this time it didn't even block where I turn around.

It's not as long as the one last winter, but it's as large.

I'm grateful this tree is no closer to the house.

  1. What's up with the trees falling down all the time, are you watering them with bourbon or something? :)

So glad nothing / no-one got clobbered!

    1. I think this tree may be past its sell-by date. Let's just hope I'm ready to move before I have to pay an arborist a whole lot of money.

  2. Wow.. I'm glad you escaped harm. That's disturbing.

But Crabby's comment made me laugh.

  3. I think the bourbon theory is flawed. They would sway more before the branches fell off, instead of silently dropping to the earth. Both of them fell off during windless nights, and I heard nothing. Sneaky trees!

  4. Wow...I'd be so worried if that started happening by our place. We have 6 large trees in our yard. Glad they were kind enough to miss hitting anything!

    1. I am worried, but not too much. It's a very large tree, (a burr oak) but it's not near the house, and the two branches that have come off are on the far side. I hope it will continue to miss things. The trees close to the house are younger and shorter.
