Goodbye, Murphy

I sent Murphy back to his people today. Five days without him and they decided they could do all the things my boss had been urging them to do for six months. They've got an appointment with a really good trainer who works in the home. I'm relieved--it really was too soon for a second dog.

    Obviously, it wasn't meant to be. Murphy's owners just needed a little time to realize how special he is. And for Murphy it was probably like a spa vacation, staying with you!

    Your dog will come along. When the time is right.

    I think it may work the way shock probation is supposed to. Suddenly all our advice seemed to click with them.
