How I spent December 25

and most of today, as well. Ahhh, warm feet.

(It took three tries to catch the flames, and they don't show up much at all.)

  1. Warm feet are the best! We had our stove burning yesterday, too, but with 14 people in the room, didn't re-e-eally need it.... :)

  2. I didn't have body heat in the living room yesterday, not like Thanksgiving, but I had sun, so the fire was a touch of luxury for the holidays.
I'm sitting in the same place right now. Love my laptop!

  3. Ah, that picture looks so appealing! Warm and cozy and inviting. Love the open book on the chair too.

  4. Looks like a perfect and toasty way to spend the day. What were you reading?

  5. Tomorrow I have to go back to work. After five days of this am I a roasted couch potato?

What was I reading? I don't remember which book that was that I put down to take the picture, but in the past two days I've read:

    Judith Ivory, The Proposition
    Archer Mayor, Open season
    Stewart Brand, Whole earth discipline
    K.J. Parker, The company
    Linnea Sinclair, Accidental goddess

as well as starting Molly Gloss's Dazzle of day (praised by people whose taste I share) only to find that I'd tried to read it before and failed to dig through it, and didn't want to try again. Space habitats? Quakers? beautiful language? what more could I want? I'm not sure but it wasn't there.
