baby plants

Here's the planter, given to me when I was born (I wish I could remember who it was from--not anyone we saw regularly as I grew up or I'd remember what my mother told me) that I've just put cuttings in to give to my boss's youngest daughter after her baby girl was born by C section at 28 weeks.

Isn't that the most determined expression?

  1. VERY determined. Hope that the little one is safe and healthy. That is very sweet that the planter can be passed along.

  4. I just had a premature little grandniece! She's precious! (But it was so scary. )

What a CUTE little planter! I'm so impressed that you still have it.

  5. (Okay, I'm gonna try again - last time, my computer crashed and I couldn't leave a comment)

I love that planter - it is adorable, and a lovely gift for such an adorable baby!

  6. Her mother's absence from work means I get home too tired to think, especially when the snow makes the drive twice as long as usual, but I have to tell you all I can't wait to see this child's Terrible Twos. Today, I heard, she pulled her oxygen cannula out five times in one hour. "Do. Not. Want." While her mother and grandfather were visiting, the nurse positioned her on her stomach with her head turned to one side, and she raised her head and turned it face down and rubbed her nose on the surface until the tape came loose and she got it out again. Are 10 day old full term babies supposed to be able to do push-ups like that? I'm more familiar with what 10 day old puppies can do.
