blackberries-to-be

I walked downhill to check on growth after it stopped raining so much. At least for a while.

Wild roses are beginning to fade, but still arranged themselves so elegantly it's hard to believe only Nature was involved in the design.

The blackberries are in full bloom.

It looks like there will be lots of them, if I can get to them before the deer and everyone else do!

  1. I love blackberries! Sadly, they don't grow in the wild around here. We do, however, have lots and lots of wild raspberries and blueberries, which I also love.
(and, cruising through your recent posts, I was reminded yet again that I need to take a picture of the lily of the valley blooming beside my step.....)

  2. One place I rented had a patch of wild raspberries. The landlord kindly mowed "those stickerbushes" down for me. Sob!
