4.5"

That's how many inches of rain we got last week. And it rained a little yesterday. And it's raining right this minute, even with the sun shining.

So anyone who wonders where their rain went can come collect it now.

  1. Wow, that's a lot. Are all the plants drowning?

  2. Only the pepper plants. I planted them in a dip so the water from watering elsewhere would run down to them. I wasn't expecting Nature to be so generous. They may survive, though.

  3. Do I have to come down there to collect those rain clouds, or can you just blow them this way? I'm pretty tired after our whirlwind trip to the city for hubby's medical appt!

It is still very, very dry here. They are considering declaring it an agriculture disaster area, but we still aren't quite as badly off as other areas of the province. They are feeding hay in areas south of us - almost unheard of at this time of year in this province!

  4. After hauling myself around on crutches I don't think I have enough breath left to blow that hard, Bag Lady.

Last year people here were feeding hay at this time--the hay they had baled less than a month earlier. I think we may be getting last year's rain and some of the year before's as well as this year's. As of today, the end of week three, we're nearly an inch above the monthly average!
