Only fifty miles on a beautiful clear morning and even so I was late. (Of course the cup is empty; what did you expect?)
These springers were in the wrong ring at the wrong time, according to the program, but that's what being late gets you.
I was looking for poodles, though, and eventually they turned up:
Not the size I was looking for, but still.
This Bassett was relaxing before entering the ring.
Photographing the photographer, I had serious Hat Envy, especially as I'd left mine beside my lunch on the kitchen counter:
I gave up waiting for standard poodles to show, and went home for a very late lunch, through beautiful country that I don't travel through often enough, not stopping to take many pictures.
I'm with you, if you are looking for poodles, look for the standards! Although, I can't stand the show cut, I kept mine just short all over. Good photos, looks like you had a good day.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for a standard for years now. Every time I get serious about it, some other dog turns up needing a home. Short all over: yes, after a day at work grooming dogs, I have no wish to come home and do more of it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for saying they're good. I don't have much practice shooting Moving Objects. Rocks, I take lots of pictures of rocks.
Love the photos of the dogs! I also tend to agree with sis about the poodle cut - short all over seems so much easier.
ReplyDeleteYesterday at work I dried two standards (not in show cuts but with full legs) and a Newfie all in a row, all.by.my.self. Do not need more hair at home!
