I walked down to the creek this afternoon, taking the camera instead of the dog, and found the bluebells open and lots of water in the creek, as I expected. Unexpectedly, I found woodland phlox and some white flower I can't recognize. It's spring, all right.
Gosh I wish I were in KY right now at my parents' looking at their bluebells. Thanks for the pictures!
ReplyDeleteLovely. It's nice to discover a new kind of flower!

Bluebells are some of my favorites, and we do see them out in the wild here. It's nice to take your wild flower plant book and discover new ones. I wish we could still get out to the area about 120 miles from here where I would take all kinds of close-ups of wild flowers. The roads are too pot-holy, and muddy to venture out there. Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteI was so glad to discover the bluebells last spring. One less plant on my list of things to move from my parents' place. The woodland phlox is something I've always meant to plant someday, and now that's crossed off my list, too.
ReplyDeleteThey're so cheerful! Thanks for bringing spring to my computer since it doesn't seem to be happening yet out in our yard.
