Time to plant your potatoes! At least, that's what the old-timers around here say - as soon as the leaves start to come out, plant your spuds. It's going to be a few more days before we see much green around here, but the trees are starting to look fuzzy, if that makes any sense.
I love that even in winter there's still some green around here. (On my only trip to England, I was with a group of Kentuckians, and people in the south of England were surprised that we didn't comment on how green it was in December. It looked perfectly ordinary to us!)
Potatoes will have to wait until next year. This year I've got to save all my digging for moving bulbs and perennials and shrubs from the old houses to the new. If I were allowed to invent teleportation I wouldn't waste it on humans--plants and furniture, shazam!

I envy your green. We're going from autumn yellow to bleak.
